VIBROACOUSTIC THERAPY (VAT)

Good Vibrations

An evidence-informed wellness modality that uses low-frequency sound vibration to support relaxation, nervous system regulation, pain reduction, improved sleep, and enhance overall quality of life. This powerful modality is a safe, drug‑free, and non‑invasive approach to reducing pain and anxiety. Whether you’re navigating the pressures of daily life or managing the challenges of a specific medical condition, VAT offers a calming, restorative experience that helps the body settle, unwind, and move toward balance. The inHarmony Vibroacoustic system is a registered FDA Class I medical device

What is VAT?

Vibroacoustic therapy uses sound frequencies that are converted into gentle vibrations and delivered directly to the body. During a session, you lie on a specially designed mat, bed, or chair embedded with speakers and transducers. These devices transmit sound as vibration, creating a soothing internal sensation often described as an “internal massage.”

The experience is immersive, calming, and deeply grounding — a multi‑sensory environment that encourages the nervous system to shift into a state of rest and restoration.

How does it work?

VAT is based on the idea that life itself is vibration. Every cell, organ, and system in the human body vibrates at various frequencies. Sound and music also carry frequency. When these frequencies are converted into vibration and introduced to the body, they can help encourage a state of healthy resonance.

Because the human body is composed largely of water — roughly 70% in adults and up to 90% in newborns — these vibrations travel easily through tissues and fluids. As the water in the body responds to the vibration, its molecules move, interact, and communicate. This movement supports harmony, coherence, and a sense of internal balance.

Can Vibroacoustic Therapy Help Me?

VAT is used by people seeking relief from a wide range of challenges, including:

  • Acute or chronic pain
  • Neurological conditions
  • COPD and respiratory stress
  • Post‑surgical recovery (including knee and hip replacements)
  • Stress related to cancer treatments
  • General tension, overwhelm, or burnout

As a trained certified Vibroacoustic practitioner, you can receive VAT for more complex health concerns. Many people integrate VAT alongside bodywork and other wellness or medical approaches. You can also use a vibroacoustic system at home or work for ongoing support.
